about
A Christmas song, inspired by the worst scene in the worst film. Recorded in collaboration with Donald Ross Skinner, for this season of goodwill to all women and men.
lyrics
Merry Christmas, what do you say
I'm bearing gifts and I wanna stay here with you
if that's OK?
Merry Christmas, I made a sign
to make you realise that you should be mine, OK?
if that's not weird in any way
Merry Christmas, let me wassail you
just say it's someone else
I know it's something I shouldn't do
but I'm not cool
I loved you when you walked down the aisle
I love you now and if it seems I act like a child
that's because I'm a child
like a child beneath your touch
I long for such as poets once sang
"I & she... desire in deity..."
Merry Christmas, I'm in love with you
I know it's awkward but it felt like something that I should do
is that cool?
I'm not expecting you to walk away
from my best friend, the one you married, but just in case:
I'd gladly take you away
I'm not here to change your mind
just needed to clear mine
just had to lay it all out for you
it's really no big deal
so please don't tell
I just wanted to say
Merry Christmas, actually

Jo Bevan is one of the best singers in modern rock. The band is tight and talented and does some nifty post-punky style stuff. This album has some exceptional songs on it. rick-taylor

Really enjoyed this album. A neat mix of The Cure with vocals from the Cranberries. With a little shoe gaze thrown in for good measure. A very pleasing mix that is worth the time. Favorite Track: Jonatan Lagnar
